MANISTEE — A number of commercial properties in and around downtown Manistee could be changing hands.
Online retail listings include several which are currently leased to Manistee businesses.
By far, the highest priced is found at 240 Arthur St., located in the city’s marijuana overlay district. Valued at $3 million, this parcel is home to Great Lakes Natural Remedies, one of five licensed cannabis dispensaries in the city.
Several buildings along River Street in the city of Manistee’s downtown area are also up for grabs.
These include the historic Manistee County Savings Bank at 375 River St. Valued at $795,000, the 1907 building currently houses a PNC Bank location and P&L Sammich Barista.
“The second and third floors are just oozing with character and (are) awaiting a creative developer to either use as offices, event center or convert to residential use, multiple apartments or even condos,” reads part of a listing for the building.
The building which houses River Street Station and Marina — another early 1900s construction — is on sale for $560,000, according to listings on multiple real estate websites. The waterfront property includes three piers and four boat slips that are available for customers or residents.
The former F.W. Woolworth Co. building at 390 River Street is also available for $399,000. Constructed in 1956 by F.W. Woolworth’s, it became a Ben Franklin department store in the mid-1980s following the Woolworth’s closure.
“This nearly 8,000 square foot building has four suites currently occupied and a vacant 2,600 square foot office space overlooking the Manistee River channel,” reads part of a listing for the building.
Also for sale is the former Manistee County Council on Aging building. Located at 457 River Street, this building is the current home of ice cream shop Downtown Delights and a photography studio. Originally constructed as a Buick dealership in 1922, the nearly 100-year-old building is listed at $350,000.
Other notable buildings for sale near Manistee include the historic 1870 schoolhouse at 284 First St. that is listed for $325,000 and an office space at 110 Washington St. for $225,000.
