Salman Khan’s body double Sagar Pandey dies while exercising at the gym, know how overtraining affects your body

New Delhi: Sagar Pandey, bollywood actor and producer Salman Khan’s body double breathed his last on September 30. He was at the gym working out when he suddenly collapsed and was immediately taken to the Hindu Hruday Samrat Balasaheb Thackerey Trauma Care Municipal Hospital where he was declared dead. Pandey had worked with Salman Khan in over 50 films. After the demise of Pandey, Salman Khan posted a picture of himself with Pandey which he captioned, “Dil se shukar adda kar raha hoon for being there with me. May your soul rest in peace brother Sagar. Thank u #RIP #SagarPandey.”
Last month on September 10, comedian Raju Srivastava collapsed while working out in the gym. He was taken to the hospital where he was under treatment and the comedian breathed his last on September 21. With the increasing number of gym deaths, it is important that people reassess their workout routines. It is essential that people understand and know the limit of stress their bodies can take and workout accordingly. If you don’t workout according to the ability of your body, you might end up having a cardiac arrest or similar condition. Take a look at what overtraining does to your body.
  1. It can cause injuries: When you workout beyond the limit of your body, it can cause injuries in different parts of the body. From tendonitis to stress fractures, there could different types of injuries that one might face.

It can lead to heart damage: If your body doesn’t allow for certain exercises like extreme endurance exercises, don’t perform them as they could potentially increase your risk of heart damage and heart rhythm disorders. These exercises can take a toll on the cardiovascular system and damage it.
  3. It can have an impact on your mental health: When you follow an extreme workout routine, it could have an impact on your mental health as well. Supposedly you miss a workout session, you might have anxiety which is not good for your body.
  4. It can lead to death: When you over-exercise or overtrain, your body might not be able to take it and that increases your risk of a cardiac arrest which eventually leads to death.
