While we may have bid so long to summer and delved into welcoming the fall season in with all its golden glory, that doesn’t mean the events and activities calendars are taking a break.
This week’s Go+Do is jam packed with fun indoor and outdoor events that will entertain everyone in the family. From concerts and comedy shows to a groovy fundraiser for the Humane Society of Weld County and a tribute to 9/11, check out some of these 23 events taking place in Greeley, Windsor, Loveland, Fort Collins and all around the northern Colorado region.
Saturday, Sept. 10
1. Break out your tie-dye and head over to the Weld Community Credit Union for the 2nd annual Woofstock. The event invites community members of all ages to come out and enjoy crafts, music, pups from the Humane Society of Weld County and more. 2. The King Street Market Craft and Vendor Show kicks off at 9 a.m. at the United Methodist Church at 108 King Ave., Johnstown. 3. The Great Bison Shuffle is set to take place at 7:30 a.m. at Terry Bison Ranch, 51 I-25 Service Road East, Cheyenne. The course will take runners and walkers of all ages through the scenic ranch grounds. Money raised from the event will help to purchase exercise equipment for the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center’s Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehabilitation program. Participants can sign up for a 10K, 5K, 2K or kids fun run. Registration fees range from $20 to $75 per person depending on race chosen. 4. Join the Windsor-Severance Fire Rescue at 9 a.m. for its dedication for the new Fire Station 4, 1350 New Library Road, Windsor. 5. The Fort Morgan Fly-In and Air Expo: Just Plane Crazy is scheduled for 8 a.m. at the Fort Morgan Municipal Airport, located at 23101 State Highway 52. 6. Tri-County Walk to End Alzheimer’s will step off at 8 a.m. at Riverside Park, 1600 Main St. in Fort Morgan. Sunday, Sept. 11
7. Bootleg Emulator is scheduled to perform at 4 p.m. at Verboten Brewing, 127 5th St., Loveland. The band will perform a wide variety of selections from Bill Withers to Thundercat, sprinkling in bits of soul, pop and jazz along the way. 8. Pay tribute to the 21st anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks by joining the Rally for America 9-11 flag-waving event at 7 p.m at Liberty Island on Highway 34 at the southeast corner of Lake Loveland. The event will feature opening remarks by David Hunt, an invocation by Lt. Randy Stokes, presentation of the Colors and guest speakers. All ages are invited to attend the free event. 9. The Honey Festival is set for 9 a.m. at Fairgrounds Park, 700 S. Railroad Ave., Loveland. 10. The 4th annual Horsetooth Fest: The Grand Finale at The Lyric Cinema is set for 11:30 a.m. at 1209 N. College Ave., Fort Collins. 11. Kick up your heels at Country Swing Dancing classes at 5:30 p.m. at Aims Community College, 5401 W. 20th St., Greeley. Betts is an American singer/songwriter from Sarasota, FL who cut his teeth in the music business by sitting in with The Allman Brothers Band. 21. Comedian Jim Gaffigan — The Fun Tour is scheduled to appear at 8 p.m. at The Ranch Events Center, 5280 Arena Circle. The show will mark Gaffigan’s first appearance in Loveland for the Grammy nominated comedian. Gaffigan is known for his unique brand of comedy that centers around fatherhood and his observations on life. The show will have some adult themes, so parental guidance is advised.
